hey is your favorite remote work enthusiast Delilah I'm back with a couple of new work from home opportunities these are for online tech support representatives and the companies are reputable and the pay is pretty good so before we go ahead and jump into that info if you haven't already please subscribe to my youtube channel I post weekly work from home hot leads from companies that are hiring as well as work from home information that you just don't want to miss okay let's go ahead and jump in alright so first up is staples you may be familiar with this company they sell office supplies and they are hiring for remote technical service representatives and this is open United States wide it says it right here remote telecommute work from home position and they don't mention if you have to live in a specific state so we'll just go ahead and say it's US wide and the pay for this position is somewhere between twelve and fifteen dollars per hour and it is full time so it says for the position summary a tech service representative is responsible for providing support to all technical associates this includes retail locations call centers and additional locations which require technical support for customers they will be instrumental in providing solutions to our associates deliver a superior service experience for our customers the TSR will provide support by handling in bal hotline calls that are generated by the store associates that have questions about order connection order requirements and details of orders that are connected to the tech services operational center the TSR also supports with the TS are also supports with which includes administrative support operational direction and other assigned duties it looks like they had a little typo there so it says primary duties and responsibilities the tech service rep will leverage all in tools to provide the correct solution for the store associates the tech service represented is responsible for service desks watery log support calls and document their outcome seek out appropriate guidance for more complex matters and redirect or escalate support requests and then perform other related duties as required or requested you have to have the ability for rotational shifts Monday through Friday and this is from 8:00 a.m. Eastern to 8:00 p.m. Eastern and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. Eastern to 8:00 p.m. Eastern and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. Eastern to 7:00 p.m. Eastern so the shifts are gonna fall within that range and then it says this position is remote and it is a work from home position and you must have the required workspace and high-speed Internet so it gets into what they prefer as far as qualifications go you need to have at least a high school diploma or GED in a minimum of two years providing administrative service technical support and then it's preferred but not required that you have great customer service and administrative skills good organizational skills strong communication ability to keep detailed and accurate notes an operational knowledge of staples technical service policy and procedures problem-solving skills and basic PC technical skills so this sounds like a good fit for you then be sure to apply all right last certainly not least if a company called Sutherland they are hiring work at home tech support reps for the cable industry and this opportunity is full-time it is open in the United States but it's open for 35 states only so I'm not gonna read this list it's here on the screen you can pause it and just kind of peruse it to see if your state is listed and of course you want to go to the lead and just you know look there too but those are the states that they're hiring in and it says that they are looking for someone who's an overachiever and good at everything that they do and someone who doesn't mind asking for the cell so your responsibilities include inbound calls from customer assistance with questions about products you have to educate customers about a product offer solutions through other products use active listening and probing skills to help troubleshoot and resolve customer tech issues you're gonna have to verify customer account info access company databases multitask ensure customers and needs are being met and then you have to do follow-up calls and communications have a drive for success attend job related trainings and refresher trainings participate in team meetings and then be ready and stay up to date with reference materials and announcements and promotions and I'm basically just sting on top of everything so it says that the training and nesting it's a hundred percent mandatory and the Train consists of four hours of classroom instruction and then four hours of self-paced learning each day following training you participate and nesting where you take live calls in a supportive environment training and nesting is scheduled for five days a week and lasts for six weeks so they have two upcoming classes so class one it says it starts Tuesday August 27th 2019 and class two starts Tuesday September 3rd 2019 so it says shift Windows and availability the hours of operation are typically 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time so they've got late hours and then it's Sunday through Saturday and then consultants are expected to be available to work scheduled their scheduled window so it says your daily start and stop times may vary within your scheduled window you will have to set days off each week scheduled selection happens during the interview phase Sutherland makes every effort to provide production schedules one week in advance so you'll know ahead of time if your schedule is going to shift within the window that you're given so you'll have some kind of idea when you're working but you'll know for sure at least a week ahead of time and it says shifts are after training our Tuesday through Saturday 2:00 p.m. 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time and then you'll have every Sunday or Monday off okay and it says does this sound like your dream job it should because it has extensive paid training performance bonuses sales incentives unique recognition programs and unlimited advancement opportunities and the qualify you had to have your high school diploma or GED be able to type at least 25 words per minute be good with Microsoft Office so just basic experience it says and then it says direct client contact with tech support experience is preferred excellent verbal and written excellent problem-solving skills being able to multitask and then if you've ever worked with a CRM application that's nice but not required and if you have service to sales experience that's nice but not required and then it gets into your computer setup so it says you need to have two 20 inch monitors and then it says you need to have a wired mouse and a wired keyboard and then you need to have a USB headset a noise tents with a noise cancelling microphone so basically what I'm talking on here and then they give you some suggestions for that you need to have a high-speed internet connection and then you can't use wireless it has to be hardwired so you need to have your Ethernet connection unplugged up and then you need to have a distraction-free workspace so it goes through the application process you'll need to complete the application including all of the screening questions and then you're going to need to do a speed test for your internet and then there's a virtual assessment and one link that includes a test for typing data entry and technical skills you'll also record your answers to a virtual interview and then there will be a live group final interview so it already lets you know what to expect next and what to do it looks like they are
